About the project
The West Midlands Pharmacy Network exists to bring together pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who deliver services to improve health outcomes across the West Midlands region.
The network holds quarterly meetings to provide a platform for pharmacy professionals to connect and share best practice in relation to medicines optimisation. The network was formerly known as the Pharmacy Care Home Network and has now evolved to include pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who may work in the following settings:
- Primary Care Networks
- Care Homes
- GP Practices
- Community Pharmacy
- Acute Trusts
- Community Health Trusts
- Mental Health Trusts
Project ambitions
The West Midlands Pharmacy Network aims to:
- Share good practice in relation to Medicines Optimisation
- Showcase the great work taking place in the West Midlands
- Recognise and discuss regional and national priorities
- Provide the opportunity to connect with other regional pharmacy colleagues in a supportive environment
