This free, face-to-face event aims to bring NHS colleagues and system partners together, with a focus on improving safety and outcomes for mothers and babies to reduce health inequalities and neonatal deaths.

It is a great opportunity to come together to provide updates, hear examples of excellent practice and improvements from across the region and work together to deliver improvement. This event will feature exciting speakers presenting on a range of subjects in the Maternity and Neonatal world.

We will also be hosting a poster competition to showcase and celebrate the fantastic quality improvement work happening in the Midlands (see below).

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Parking for this event is also free.

  • Maternity and Neonatal Safety Champions
  • Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnerships and other lay groups
  • Local Maternity and Neonatal systems
  • Clinical educators and students/trainees in the maternity or neonatal field

Poster competition brief:

Topic: Safer care in maternity and neonatal services

This can include any MatNeo or PERIPrem quality improvement project, with a particular emphasis on projects that address health inequalities. We’re keen to hear from teams across the services including neonatologists, obstetricians, midwives, neonatal nurses and AHPs for example.

Bring your poster on the day (ideally A3 or A2 size) to share with delegates. These will be collated and shared electronically after the event.

Event delivery:

The event is being delivered by the Midlands PERIPrem Partnership Group which includes members of the East Midlands Operational Delivery Network, West Midlands Perinatal Network, Health Innovation East Midlands, Health Innovation West Midlands, Coventry and Warwickshire LMNS and NHS England Midlands Perinatal Team.

By attending this event you will meet up and interact with system partners, and share, learn and contribute to developing safer care in Maternity and Neonatal services.
